Veterans and Family Center

Serves veterans from all eras of military service
Assists veterans and their dependents for up to nine months in reaching their potential
Intensive case management including: needs assessment with comprehensive case plan, advocacy, benefit assistance, skill-building, resource referral, coordination of medial, mental health, and addiction services as well as education services, housing placement, and job training
Classes and groups including Rent Well, budgeting, nutrition, etc.
Individual guidance and support in a caring, home-like atmosphere

About The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army, an evangelical part of the universal Christian church, has been supporting those in need in His name without discrimination since 1865. The Salvation Army first came to Portland in 1886 and has since grown to serving thousands of people throughout the Metro area. Nearly 30 million Americans receive assistance from The Salvation Army nationwide each year through the broadest array of social services, ranging from providing food for the hungry, relief for disaster victims, assistance for the disabled, outreach to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter to the homeless, and opportunities for underprivileged children. 82 cents of every dollar donated directly supports those in need. The Salvation Army is currently working in 124 countries worldwide.
